From driving and washing buses to leading complex operations, I've built my career by understanding the service as well as the organization behind it.
My experience spans local transit, large urban systems, charter transportation, contracted service, and specialized mobility. Each assignment has reinforced the importance of safety, practical planning, people, and accountability.
I lead a county transportation operation providing a mix of passenger services, including paratransit and non-emergency medical transportation. My responsibilities include daily service delivery, staffing, driver performance, dispatch, fleet readiness, contractual expectations, and relationships with public-sector and community partners.
I held transportation leadership responsibility in a major urban transit environment involving more than 500 operators. The scale required disciplined service coordination, workforce management, safety oversight, and operational consistency.
My general management experience included transit contract operations and operational transitions, including work associated with Columbia, South Carolina, and Bowling Green. Working in contract service reinforced the importance of aligning customer commitments, organizational resources, and the realities of the operating environment.
I managed a transportation operation with a fleet of approximately 60 buses covering charter, event, and school-related service. Our work included transportation associated with Texas Rangers games and large events at AT&T Stadium, requiring careful planning for peaks, irregular schedules, and high-volume passenger movement.
I did not enter this industry at the top. Starting as a bus operator and washing buses gave me a perspective that has stayed with me. The responsibilities of leadership have grown, but I am still willing to help deliver frontline service when the operation calls for it.
